Eight pulses. Room for a different note.
FIVE SECONDS / 96 BPM1E42Rest3D44A45G46Rest7C58D4
Let another line meet this one. It starts with eight rests; your first line stays as it is.
The eight pulses keep their rhythm. Split a pulse into a start and a halfway choice, each 312.5 ms; splitting alone keeps its sound. Hold previous continues the same note across whole or half pulses. A rest breaks it; a hold at the beginning or after a rest is silence. Holds stop at pulse eight. Hear pulse plays the complete owning note once from its beginning; a rest or silent hold stops sound. Editing stops playback. Choose Play to hear the full five-second arrangement.
Undo keeps the last 100 note, split, join and line edits as whole compositions. Ending the wait keeps this history. Opening a linked phrase starts fresh.

Keep the notes editable.
A phrase link carries an exact snapshot of all eight pulses, including split pulses, notes, rests and holds. It carries both lines when a second is present. Its reader can inspect and open them, change the rhythm, and make another link. Nothing plays on arrival.
An offline desk with your phrase.
Prepare a separate HTML file with every line, including every split, note, rest and hold. It opens silently for editing. Your arrangement is not uploaded. Its reader can change the rhythm and prepare another file offline.
