A notice about an existing published work; the desks, memos and Management are fictional.

Management copied a memo so two desks could deal with it. We now had two memos to deal with.
Please Forward is a paper process with four desks. Choose Pass, Copy, File or Hold at each desk, then advance one round. Each desk acts on its first memo; new arrivals wait their turn.
Follow the memo numbers and their parents. Change a rule while the queues are growing. File a memo, hold the front of a queue, or pass one back to the same desk. Undo restores the complete table.
Make a rules link if you want someone to try your arrangement. It carries the four desk settings, including inactive destination choices. It carries no memos, results or history. Received rules appear for review; using them changes only the instructions on that visitor’s current table.
Nothing reaches an actual desk. The memos can wait until you decide what happens next.
