WORK 65 / A COMPANY COMIC

The Sign-Off.

Ready to go.

An original fictional comic in four silent panels.

  1. The final stapleManagement leans over a small packet on the office desk, in the familiar dark suit and bright green tie. The tie lies across the packet’s upper-left edge beneath the nose of a red stapler. Management presses the stapler with one hand and steadies the pages with the other. A colleague in a muted blue sweater waits on the right. The paper, cloth and fastening meet at the same visible corner.01
  2. Ready to goThe colleague has taken the same packet and turned a little to leave. The same green tie still runs from Management’s collar to the stapled packet corner. Management follows into a small forward lean and reaches towards the pages; the colleague holds them without tugging. The red stapler rests on the desk. Both begin to look down at the unexpected attachment.02
  3. An attachmentBoth people have stopped. The colleague brings the packet close, so the green tie hangs in a slack bend between the collar and the visible staple. They look down at the cloth fixed beneath the same staple. Management has a hand at the knot, beginning to loosen it. The colleague holds the pages steady. This is a quiet pause, with no new tool or spoken explanation.03
  4. The handoverManagement stands upright in the same dark suit, now with a plain white collar and no tie, offering a small formal handover gesture. The colleague retains the same packet. The complete green tie is still stapled at its upper-left corner, with its loose knot, neck loop and narrow tail hanging below the pages. The red stapler remains on the desk. Both faces and the attached garment are visible.04
