Panel 01 · The places
Management sits in the middle of a three-place corridor bench, wearing the familiar dark suit and bright green tie. One closed hard-sided briefcase occupies the left place. One coral overcoat occupies the right place; its dark empty collar and open hanging sleeve show that nobody is wearing it. No other person is present.
Panel 02 · The first arrival
A first colleague in a plain muted green sweater now sits on the left. The same closed briefcase is on the floor in front of the left end of the bench. A second colleague in muted blue stands beside the right end and looks towards the coat. Management remains in the middle with one hand resting on the coral coat. The coat still occupies the right place.
Panel 03 · The offered place
Management stands to the left and just in front of the bench, offering its vacant middle place with an open palm. The first colleague remains seated on the left; the second is still standing at the right. The same coral coat remains on the right seat, its empty collar and sleeve visible. The closed briefcase remains on the floor at the left.
Panel 04 · The reservation
Both colleagues sit on the bench, the first on the left and the second in the middle. The same empty coral coat still occupies the whole right place. Management, still in the dark suit and bright green tie, sits distinctly lower at the left, perched on the flat top of the closed briefcase on the floor. The case front, recessed handle and catches are visible below Management. All three faces and the coat-filled seat are visible.
