WORK 100 / A CONSTRUCTION DESK

Drawn
in Circles.

Take a point.
Go round it.

Draw a circle through another point. Keep a crossing. Join the points, or begin another circle from there.

A little room to go round.

20 × 20 paper. Circle arcs continue beyond its edge. Point previews and crossing rings stay on this desk; the SVG keeps your circles, straight lines and chosen point marks.

Keep going later.

Read on this device, up to 16 KB. The working copy keeps points, circles, straight lines, inks and point-mark choice. Earlier circle-only copies still open here. Undo history and unfinished choices stay in this visit. The SVG is a picture; reopen the JSON to continue.

CENTRE / EDGE / CROSSING

One thing
leads to another.

The centre stays put; the other point sets the radius.

Circles and straight lines (0)

Remove an earlier line without undoing later work. Kept points stay where they are. Undo restores a removed line.

No lines to remove yet.

  2. B14.000 across · 10.000 down

Two points to begin. Draw A through B, then B through A; their crossings give you two more places to start.

The next centre is already in the drawing.

The first two circles can give you two new points. A new point can be a centre, sit on the edge of another circle, or join two straight lines. Try A through B and B through A, keep either crossing as C, then join A–B, B–C and C–A. Repeat a radius, try a different ink or hide the point marks to look at the drawing. Remove the two guide circles to leave the triangle. Kept crossings are fixed points; they stay when a circle is removed.

This is a drawing desk using decimal calculations. Very close points are treated as the same point, and near-touching circles as touching. Displayed coordinates are rounded; working copies keep the calculated positions. It is for making pictures, rather than precise measurement or geometric proof.

Keep up to 24 points, 16 circles and 24 straight lines. Undo and Redo remember the last 64 drawing changes. Nothing is saved automatically.
