WORK 76 / TWO LINE SCREENS

A Little
Off.

A small turn.
A little slide.

Choose two screens of parallel lines or repeating dots. Set their spacings separately, then turn and slide the front. Look at each screen on its own, then bring them back together.

Mark size follows each screen’s own spacing. Turn: −12° to 12°, a quarter-degree at a time. Slide: 32 positions within one front line spacing. Try different spacings with no turn, then slide the front.

Keep the overlap

Two screens.
One SVG.

The file always contains both screens, whichever view you are inspecting.

Or keep the screens separately.

Two transparent 720 × 480 panels, prepared from the same settings. The front keeps its turn and slide; the marks stop at each panel’s edges. Keep both panels at the same size when layering them elsewhere.
