WORK 78 / THREE BRIDGE PUZZLES

A Link
Between.

Every number met.
Everybody connected.

Join the nearest numbered islands in the same row or column. Each island needs exactly its number of bridges. In the end, every island must belong to one network.

Four islands

Selected: A–B

The dashed line marks your selected link. An island turns lime when its number is met. All positions and counts are also listed below.

  • A: 0 of 2Column 2, row 2
  • B: 0 of 2Column 6, row 2
  • C: 0 of 2Column 2, row 6
  • D: 0 of 2Column 6, row 6

Make a link

A B

Choose a pair below, then set its total. Two parallel bridges add two to both island numbers. Remove sets the link to zero.

Bridges between A and B
4 separate networks.

Match every island’s number and bring all the islands into one connected network.

Restart is one change that can be undone. Each board keeps its own progress while you switch.

An optional check

Can I finish by only adding?

Ask whether a complete network can keep every bridge you have placed. One bridge may become two. This check gives no route or next move, and leaves your bridges as they are.

No check for these bridge counts yet.

The result belongs to these exact bridge counts. After a change, ask again.

A few ground rules

Bridges are horizontal or vertical, with at most two between a pair. They cannot jump over an island or cross another bridge. The link buttons list every possible pair. A double bridge counts twice at each end. Matching every number is only part of it: all the islands must also connect.
